Response to COVID-19

Company C Dance Club is committed to the health and safety of our faculty, dancers, and their families. For the 2020-2021 season we will be following the guidelines set by Governor DeWine and the CDC. See below for re-opening protocols and safety measures.

We look forward to dancing together again soon.

We understand the concern our parents have regarding COVID-19 and how it affects our lives on a daily basis. We are committed to doing everything in our power to make sure that your dancers have a positive dance experience while being as safe as possible. With that being said, please know that there is so much unknown regarding COVID-19 and just moving about our communities increases the risk for contracting this disease. These are our steps to you ensure that your dancers time here in our studio is as safe as possible:

Closing of the Studio:

• Per the Lucas County Health Board:

 A Confirmed Case:

- If a confirmed case of COVID-19 is reported, we will shut down the studio in compliance with the Lucas County Health Board.

- We will deep clean and sanitize all areas of the studio.

- Parents will be notified immediately regarding the shut down and whether or not your dancer was in contact with the confirmed individual.

- The studio will remain closed for the numbers of days required – all classes will move to Zoom.

A Social Tracing Case:

- Parents will be notified immediately if their dancer has come into contact with an individual that has been around a confirmed case.

- We will deep clean and sanitize all areas of the studio.

- Said individual will be asked to quarantine away from the studio for 14 days and will be allowed to return once they are clear of all symptoms.

• Masks will be worn by all individuals entering the building and classrooms.

• Masks will remain on until the dancer’s technique class has started. It will be the parent’s decision as to whether or not they would like to wear their dancer to wear their mask during technique classes. Please be sure to have this discussion with your dancer. • Masks will be worn by all individuals when leaving class and the building.

• Whenever we are unable to maintain the 6 feet social distancing rule, dancers will be required to wear their masks.

• If we need to shut the studio down for 14 days due to a COVID-19 case here at the studio, all parents will be notified and classes will continue via Zoom until we are able to be back in the studio for in-person classes.

• During dance and tumbling classes, dancers will maintain the 6 feet social distance required by the State of Ohio.

• COMMON AREAS and DRESSING AREAS will remain CLOSED and seating removed.

• Parents will be asked to wait in their cars during class time.

• Teachers will be expected to take their temperature and self-evaluate their health before coming to the studio to teach class. If they are feeling ill, then they are expected to stay home until their symptoms have passed.

• Entrance into Studios 1, 2 and 3 will be from the Central Ave side of the building. For Studio 4, 5 and 6, dancers will enter on the west side of the parking lot. Please drop dancers at their entrance. They will go directly to their studio with their belongings and stay there. Be PROMPT for pickup.

• Dancers entering the studio will have their temperatures taken, hand sanitizer will be given and the appropriate questions will be asked by the teacher to either the parent or the student, such as “have you lost your sense of smell or taste, have you had any stomach issues, a fever in the last 48 hours, cough or sore throat?” before being allowed to enter the building.

• There will be time built in the schedule for teachers to sanitize between groups.

o Spray mops with medical grade cleaner will be used for dance floors in between each group/private

o High touch areas will be sanitized between each class including barres, light switches and equipment

o Bathrooms will be wiped down and sanitized with bleach water in between each group

o Studio will be sanitized and cleaned at the end of each night that students are present

oThe studio will continue to go through a deeper clean each week for higher traffic areas

• Dancers should pack their own personal water bottle. Drinking fountain will be closed.
